Early Life and Career
Rose Barrett was born in Brisbaine, Queensland, Australia, to a firefighter father. In 1988, she won the "Dolly Covergirl" competition while attending Kenmore State High School and began modeling in Europe.
Break into Acting
In 1995, Barrett joined the cast of the reality show "The Real World: London." She later attended the British American Drama Academy in Oxford. In 1997, she made her acting debut in the thriller "Trance."
Rise to Fame
Barrett's appearance in a Maxim magazine article in September 1998 helped launch the new soap opera "All My Children." However, the show lasted only one season. Barrett also landed roles in films such as "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" and "Poseidon."
Personal Life
Barrett was previously engaged to American actor Chris Hardwick. On December 29, 2004, she married actor Gabriel Macht. The couple welcomed a daughter, Satine Anais Geraldine Macht, in Los Angeles on August 20, 2007. In her free time, Barrett enjoys skydiving.
