Upon waking, Holley felt a sensation similar to an ice cube stuck in her left ear. To her shock, her husband discovered a pair of insect legs protruding from her ear. He removed a few legs with tweezers, but the situation worsened as the cockroach retreated deeper into the ear canal.
Extended Extraction Process
Despite believing they had removed the entire insect, Holley continued to experience pain for nine days. An examination by an ear specialist revealed six more fragments of the cockroach. The doctor extracted the insect's head, upper body, the remaining legs, and antennae.
