Joe Fraser's Early Life and Filipino Heritage

Joe Fraser was born on December 3, 2001, in Peterborough, England. His father is British, and his mother is Filipina from the province of Cebu. Fraser has strong ties to his Filipino heritage, as he spent two years in the Philippines between the ages of three and five and maintains connections with his relatives there.

Junior Career

Fraser began his gymnastics career as a junior, competing in the Youth Division of the European Championships in 2018. He won a team silver medal with the British team and an individual silver medal in the vault.

Senior Career

Fraser emerged as a star in 2022, winning British senior titles in the floor exercise and vault. He represented England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where he won an unprecedented four gold medals in the team event, individual all-around, floor exercise, and vault.

International Success

Fraser's success continued at the 2022 European Championships, where he helped Great Britain win the team final for the first time in a decade. He also won bronze in the floor exercise and gold in the vault, becoming the first British man to win European gold in the vault.
