Biography of Aleksandr Menialshchikov
Early Life and Figure Skating DebutAleksandr Menialshchikov was born on July 16, 2003, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He embarked on his skating journey at the tender age of six. Initially, he pursued single skating, but at the age of 12, he made the transition to pair skating with Anastasia Sazonova.
Partnership with Anastasia Sazonova
Menialshchikov and Sazonova formed a unique partnership that became the only pair skating pair in Central Asia. Under the guidance of their coach, Irina Vasilyeva (Shishova), a former World Junior Championship participant, they honed their skills.
Sports Achievements
As a duo, Menialshchikov and Sazonova became Uzbekistan's national champions. They also competed in various international events, including the Junior Grand Prix series and the Open Asian Competitions. Notably, they secured a respectable 4th place at the World Junior Championships.
