Jean Tigana, a French football coach, was born on June 23, 1955, in Bamako, Mali. He is known for his skills as a midfielder and later as a coach. Tigana played for several clubs throughout his career, including Keolol Marseille, Real Bamako, Joue, Toulon, Lyon, Bordeaux, and Marseille.

During his career, Tigana played a total of 411 matches in Division 1 and scored 27 goals. He was part of the French national team from 1980 to 1989, playing 52 matches and scoring 1 goal.
