Early Life and Career
Jari Kainulainen is a Finnish musician best known for his role as the bassist for the power metal band Stratovarius.
Stratovarius (1993-2005)
Kainulainen joined Stratovarius in 1993 and played on several of their albums, including "Episode" (1996) and "Infinite" (2000). He is said to have left the band in 2005 due to conflicts with guitarist Timo Tolkki.
Mess and Evergrey
After leaving Stratovarius, Kainulainen played with his own band, Mess, for two years. He then joined the Swedish progressive metal band Evergrey, performing on their 2008 album "Torn."
Symfonia (2010-Present)
In 2010, Kainulainen reunited with Timo Tolkki in the band Symfonia. He has since played on several of their albums, including "In Paradisum" (2011) and "Walk Through Fire" (2015).
Musical Style
Kainulainen is known for his skillful bass playing on a six-string Ibanez bass, often using equipment from Ampeg.
