Milei held positions as chief economist at Maxima AFJP (a private pension company), chief economist at Estudio Broda (a financial consulting firm), and government consultant at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes. He was also a senior economist at HSBC Argentina and the Corporación América, where he served as chief economist and financial advisor for fifteen years.

Political Views
EconomicMilei identifies with the Austrian school of economic thought and describes himself as a "tactical minarchist" and a "philosophical anarcho-capitalist." He views Argentina as a "tax hell" and advocates for a rapid reduction in government spending to balance the budget.
Social
Milei's political views have been described as a blend of right-libertarian, conservative, and right-wing populist ideologies. In confronting socialism, he aligns himself with former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and former US President Donald Trump. He is also affiliated with the Spanish conservative party Vox and former conservative presidential candidate in Chile, José Antonio Kast.
Milei opposes abortion rights and has publicly asserted a strong anti-abortion stance, arguing that it violates the non-aggression principle. He frames it as a property rights issue, comparing abortion to theft.
Milei denies the existence of global warming, dismissing the scientific consensus on climate change as a socialist invention. He claims that concerns about climate change amount to "hoaxes propagated by neo-Marxists."
Foreign Policy
Milei endorses the Madrid Charter, a document drafted by Vox, which characterizes left-wing groups as enemies of Ibero-America and accuses them of participating in a "criminal project under the auspices of the Cuban regime." He signed the document alongside other far-right politicians across the region, including Eduardo Bolsonaro of Brazil, Rafael López Aliaga of Peru, and José Antonio Kast of Chile.
He has stated that the United States and Israel will be his primary allies if elected president. He has also expressed an intention to move Argentina's embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
