Biography of Jay Reatard
American punk musician Jay Reatard, born as Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr., was involved in music from a young age. At the age of 18, he formed the rock band The Reatards, but the group did not achieve much popularity. It was after he embarked on a solo career that Jay Reatard gained recognition. His first song, "Teenage Hate," was released in 1998. Throughout his career, he released a total of 22 albums with his bands "The Reatards" and "Lost Sounds."
Tragic Death
On the morning of January 13, Jay Reatard tragically passed away at his home in Memphis. He was only 29 years old. According to his official website, Reatard died in his sleep. The cause of his death has not been disclosed. Friends of Reatard revealed that he had been feeling slightly unwell before his death, having caught a cold, although his condition did not raise serious concerns. Medical professionals, who conducted an autopsy, have not revealed whether his illness was related to his death.

Jay Reatard began his punk music career in 1998. Throughout his active creative period, he collaborated with various bands such as Lost Sounds, Nervous Patterns, The Final Solutions, Digital Leather, Angry Angles, Terror Visions, Bad Times, and also performed with his own project, The Reatards.
Solo Discography
Reatard's solo discography consists of two albums. His debut work, "Blood Visions," was released in 2006. In the summer of 2009, he released the album "Watch Me Fall," which was released under the label Matador Records, with whom Reatard had been collaborating in recent times.
