Jenny Kallur: Swedish Track and Field Athlete

Early Life and Family

Jenny Kallur was born in Falun, Sweden, alongside her twin sister, Susanna. Their father, Anders Kallur, was a four-time Stanley Cup champion with the New York Islanders, while their mother, Liza Kallur, was a professional volleyball player.

Transition to Track and Field

Initially, Jenny pursued artistic gymnastics. However, she later transitioned to track and field, specializing in sprint events.

University of Illinois

After graduating high school, Jenny attended the University of Illinois, where she competed for the Fighting Illini. While she participated in races such as the 100m and 200m, her most notable successes came in the sprint hurdles.

National and International Achievements

Together with Susanna, Jenny stepped onto the podium in the 60m hurdles at the 2005 European Indoor Championships. Her personal best marks include 12.49 seconds in the 100m hurdles and 7.83 seconds in the 60m hurdles indoors.
