Biography of Jenny McCarthy
Jenny McCarthy is an American model, comedian, actress, writer, and producer. She first gained public attention in October 1993 when she appeared on the cover of the internationally renowned and highly popular magazine, Playboy. Just a year later, in June 1994, McCarthy became a Playmate, a prestigious title in the Playboy world. Following this, she embarked on a career in film and television acting, as well as writing books.
Early Life
Jenny McCarthy was born on November 1, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois. Her father was of Irish descent and her mother was of German descent. Growing up, McCarthy's parents were devout Catholics and raised their four children - Jenny, Joan, Lynette, and Amy - in accordance with the principles of Catholicism. Her mother was a homemaker, while her father worked at a mill. McCarthy completed her education in Chicago and then attended a secondary educational institution, where she decided to pursue further studies. Soon after, she became a student at the University of Southern Illinois, where she studied medicine. During this time, McCarthy aspired to become a nurse and had no thoughts of a career in modeling or acting.
Career Beginnings
In order to finance her studies at the University, McCarthy decided to submit her own photo for a casting call at the famous Playboy magazine. Her photo was accepted, and she was invited to collaborate. Thus, McCarthy began her career as a glamour model. In 1993, she not only appeared on the cover of Playboy but also earned thirty thousand dollars. Shortly after, McCarthy moved to Los Angeles, where her career started to flourish and evolve. In the mid-1990s, McCarthy's popularity grew as she appeared in movies and participated in various television shows. In 1997, McCarthy launched several fashion shows on TV. The first show aired on MTV and was successful, while the second show turned out to be unsuccessful and was soon canceled. That same year, the actress once again graced the cover of Playboy for its September issue and also wrote an autobiography.
Continued Success
A year later, McCarthy was invited back to the film industry and appeared in several well-known TV series. In 2003, she starred in the movie "Scary Movie 3" and a few other films. Currently, Jenny McCarthy continues her active creative career. She devotes all her free time to her son, who is diagnosed with autism.
