Biography of Jiří Veselý
Jiří Veselý is a professional Czech tennis player and former world number one junior player. Born on July 10, 1993, in Příbram, Czech Republic, Veselý began playing tennis at a young age, following in the footsteps of his tennis-playing father. He quickly showed promise and started training regularly, believing that his hard work would pay off.

After successful tournaments in Europe, Veselý started competing at the international level in junior tournaments. In 2011, he won the junior Australian Open, defeating Luke Saville in the final. He also won the doubles event, partnering with Filip Horanský from Slovakia. Veselý's remarkable performance in 2011 led him to become the top-ranked junior player in the world. Out of 170 matches, he won 125 and lost only 45.

In addition to his junior success, Veselý also competed in the French Open and Wimbledon in 2011. While he reached the third round at Wimbledon, his doubles performance was not as strong as his singles play. Known for his powerful serves, Veselý's serves often resulted in unexpected aces, even against strong opponents.

In 2013, Veselý made his debut in the Czech Republic national team for the Davis Cup, showcasing his ability to excel in team play. The Czech Republic went on to win the Davis Cup that year, marking Veselý's first victory as a professional player. Shortly after, he qualified for the French Open in 2013, becoming the youngest player to enter the top 100 rankings.
In 2014, Veselý reached the third round of the BNP Paribas Open and participated in several Grand Slam tournaments, which propelled him to the 66th position in the rankings. He also qualified for the US Open in 2014, where he faced Stan Wawrinka, the fourth-ranked player in the world. Despite being seen as the underdog, Veselý has the opportunity to challenge Wawrinka and put up a fight. However, tennis experts do not anticipate a major upset, as winning the US Open at the age of 21 is a rare occurrence.
Currently, Veselý is ranked 70th in the world. With his promising talent and determination, he continues to strive for success in the professional tennis circuit.
