Biography of Jocelyn Quivrin
Jocelyn Quivrin was born on February 14, 1979, in Dijon, France. His father, Vincent Bofis, was an anesthesiologist. Quivrin studied cinema and broadcasting at the Hector Berlioz College in Vincennes, an eastern suburb of Paris. He then attended Nanterre University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in literature while also studying cinema. Despite his education, Quivrin considered himself a self-taught actor.

Early Career
Quivrin made his film debut at the age of 13, playing the Duke of Anjou in the historical drama "Louis, enfant roi" (Louis, the Child King) in 1992. The film was selected for the Cannes Film Festival in 1993, where Quivrin gained his first agent. He went on to star in several period dramas, including "Lautrec" and "L'enfant des lumières", alongside Natalie Baye. In 2007, he portrayed the cruel Count de Nansac in the period drama "Jacquou le Croquant" and a young Louis XIV in "Jean de La Fontaine - Le défi".

Breakthrough and Success
Quivrin's breakthrough role came in 2005 when he played Detective Nerte in the thriller "L'empire des loups" (The Empire of the Wolves) alongside Jean Reno. The film was a commercial success, which helped boost Quivrin's career. He also appeared in two critically acclaimed films, the historical drama "Elizabeth" in 1998 and the political thriller "Syriana" in 2005.

Later Career and Personal Life
Quivrin's most notable film was the adaptation of Frederic Beigbeder's novel "99 francs" in 2007. He received several nominations and awards for his supporting role in the film. In 2008, he starred in "LOL" alongside Sophie Marceau. His final film, "Ensemble, c'est trop", was released in France in February 2010.

Outside of his acting career, Quivrin had a passion for sports cars, particularly "Ferrari". He developed this passion at the age of four when his father took him on a racing track in Dijon-Prenois in a powerful car belonging to one of his friends. Quivrin owned several sports cars throughout his life, including a Porsche Cabriolet, a Dodge Viper, and an Ariel Atom. Unfortunately, it was this car that led to his untimely death. Quivrin died in a car accident on November 15, 2009, on the A13 highway near the Saint-Cloud tunnel. The circumstances surrounding the accident were unclear, but it was reported that the road was wet from rain. Quivrin was buried at the Père-Lachaise Cemetery in Paris on November 21, 2009, with many stars from the theater and film industry in attendance.
