Early Life and Playing CareerJoseph Kinnear, born on 27th December 1946, is a renowned Irish football coach and former player. His football career began as a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, where he joined in 1965. Kinnear quickly emerged as a formidable player, earning a reputation for his determination and skill. In 1967, he triumphed with the team, winning the FA Cup. His success continued with the Football League Cup victories in 1971 and 1973. In 1975, Kinnear moved to Brighton & Hove Albion, where he eventually retired from playing at the age of 30.

Coaching Career
Despite his departure from active play, Kinnear's passion for football remained. He embarked on a coaching career, starting in Dubai in 1977. There, he coached Sharjah and Al-Shabab for five years, forging a close partnership with Dave Mackay. Kinnear's coaching journey also included stints with India, Nepal, and Doncaster Rovers, where he reunited with Mackay in 1989.

Partnership with Wimbledon and Other Clubs
In 1992, Kinnear joined Wimbledon as their manager. His tenure at the club lasted until May 1999. Seeking new challenges, he became manager of Luton Town in 2001 and oversaw 122 matches. Kinnear then moved to Nottingham Forest in February 2004, where he coached the team for ten months.

Newcastle United
In September 2008, Kinnear was appointed as caretaker manager of Newcastle United. Despite the short duration of his tenure, the team achieved several victories under his leadership. Kinnear's impressive coaching skills and unwavering determination continue to leave a significant mark on the football world.
