Early Life and Family
Joe Simpson was born on February 17, 1958, in Texas, USA, to Curtis Simpson and Joyce Ellis Simpson. He grew up in his home state and later met his wife, Tina Ann Drew. Together, they raised two daughters: Jessica (born 1980) and Ashlee (born 1984).

Career in Music Management
While Joe Simpson was reportedly a pastor and Tina a parishioner, he eventually became her husband and later the manager of their daughter, Jessica. He was instrumental in Jessica's music career, accompanying her on her first concert tour and helping distribute demo tapes. Eventually, one tape landed in the hands of Columbia Records, leading to a contract offer for Jessica.

Reality Television Success
Joe Simpson had the idea for the reality television show, "Newlyweds," which chronicled Jessica's marriage to Nick Lachey. The show skyrocketed Jessica to superstardom, with episodes regularly reaching over 1.4 million viewers. He later became the manager of Ashlee and produced "The Ashlee Simpson Show."

Film Production
In addition to music management, Joe Simpson has also produced several films, including "Undiscovered" (2005), "Employee of the Month" (2006), and "Major Movie Star" (2008). He also produced the Jessica Simpson-starring film "Blonde Ambition" (2007).

Television Production
Beyond film production, Joe Simpson produced the television series "Murder, She Wrote" (2007) and "Jessica" (2004). He also created the reality television show "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive."

Other Ventures
In 2005, Joe Simpson founded his own record label, "Papa Joe Records." He has also been involved in a restaurant project inspired by the Daisy Duke character from the popular television series "The Dukes of Hazzard."
