John Iadarola: A Leading Voice in American Politics and Media

John Iadarola is a prominent American political commentator, online journalist, and host of the popular YouTube news shows "The Young Turks" (TYT) and "The Damage Report."

Career

Iadarola's career took off in January 2012 when he joined TYTUniversity, later renamed ThinkTank, as a co-host. He became its sole host and executive producer when his co-host left a few months later. During this time, he also began hosting "The Young Turks" and other YouTube programs, including "What The Flick," "TYT Sports," and "Pop Trigger."

In May 2013, he launched his own independent YouTube channel, "The Damage Report," covering current events, politics, media criticism, and technology.

Religious Views and Advocacy

On September 25, 2013, Iadarola publicly identified as an atheist. He has been an outspoken critic of religious influence in politics.

"True North" and Climate Change Awareness

In 2017, Iadarola participated in the History Channel series "A User's Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse," sharing his insights on geopolitical and social issues.

In the same year, he joined Chavala Madlena to produce "True North." This documentary series, a collaboration between TYT and Verizon's go90, took them to the Arctic to witness and document the impacts of climate change.

"The Damage Report" and YouTube OTT Service

In May 2018, TYT announced the launch of a new OTT programming service on YouTube. Iadarola's "The Damage Report" became a daily show on the platform. Its viewers are collectively known as the "Dragon Squad."

Personal Life

Iadarola is married to American actress and television host Arlene Santana. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Reina, on August 16, 2023.
