Biography of Johnny Ruiz
Johnny Ruiz is a famous American boxer who gained widespread recognition, not only among sports fans, but also for his controversial reaction to a fight against Russian boxer Valuyev. Born in the United States, Johnny Ruiz is currently regarded as one of the strongest heavyweight boxers. His performances always attract a large audience who prefer to watch exciting, professional, and highly emotional boxing matches.

A Defeat against Valuyev
In his latest fight, Johnny Ruiz faced the well-known Russian boxer Nikolay Valuyev. Not only did Valuyev emerge victorious, but he also regained his title as the World Boxing Association champion. However, Johnny Ruiz was dissatisfied with the results of the fight. Moreover, he deemed the referee's assessments to be entirely unfair and demanded that Valuyev be stripped of his title.
An Unimpressed Promoter
Unfortunately for Johnny Ruiz, his demands only amused the members of the promotional organization, especially its executive director, Chris Mayer. Not only did Mayer find Johnny's request laughable, but he also vehemently refuted the American athlete's claim that the boxing match, held in Berlin at the end of August, was full of shortcomings and errors on the part of the referees.
A Controversial Assertion
Johnny Ruiz asserted that the judges who officiated the fight made mistakes in their assessments. For example, in the second round of the boxing match, the referee did not count a knockdown for the Russian boxer, although he should have. Valuyev, however, remained unshaken, claiming that he slipped and that was the reason he lost his balance and fell, not due to any other cause.
A Dismissal by the Executive Director
Furthermore, Chris Mayer regarded Johnny Ruiz's offensive claim as entirely unacceptable and unjust. Mayer argued that the level of preparation of the athletes was different, and under no circumstances would Johnny have been able to knock Valuyev down. The executive director made a counter statement, suggesting that Johnny Ruiz simply had not learned how to lose graciously.
A Call for a Rematch
Despite the dismissal from the executive director, Johnny Ruiz continues to demand a reconsideration of the matter and the scheduling of a rematch with Nikolay Valuyev. He believes that such a rematch would confirm the fairness of his conclusions.
