Biography of Johnny Dorelli
Johnny Dorelli, born Giorgio Guidi on February 20, 1937, in Meda, Italy, is an Italian actor and singer. He began his singing career in the late 1950s, working with the label 'CGD'. In 1958, Johnny won the prize at the Festival di Sanremo, performing duets with Domenico Modugno on the songs 'Nel blu dipinto di blu' (also known as 'Volare') and 'Piove (Ciao ciao bambina)'. With another song, 'L'immensità', Dorelli reached the 9th place in the 1967 Italian song festival.

Success with 'Aggiungi un posto a tavola'
Johnny Dorelli achieved his greatest success with the release of his musical 'Aggiungi un posto a tavola', which was also performed at the Adelphi Theatre in London's West End in 1978, under the English title 'Beyond the Rainbow'.

Acting Career
Dorelli also had a successful acting career. He appeared in Franco Brusati's dramedy 'Pane e cioccolata', the war drama 'L'agnese va a morire' with Ingrid Thulin, and the comedy 'Basta che non si sappia in giro!...' with Nino Manfredi. He can also be seen in comedies such as 'Spogliamoci così senza pudor', 'Amori miei', and 'Sesso e volentieri'.
Comeback and Recent Work
After a career hiatus, Dorelli made a comeback in the 1980s. In 1983, he portrayed Don Filippo Neri in Luigi Magni's television drama 'State buoni se potete'. His last known role was Ludovico Zanichelli in Pupi Avati's comedy 'Ma quando arrivano le ragazze' in 2004.
Personal Life
Johnny Dorelli has been married to former actress Gloria Guida. He was previously married to actresses Lauretta Masiero and Catherine Spaak, both ended in divorces.
