Biography of Jon Peter Lewis
Jon Peter Lewis, born on November 7, 1979, is an American singer and songwriter who gained recognition as one of the finalists of the third season of the reality show "American Idol". He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and his family moved around frequently before he left home at the age of eighteen. He completed high school in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1998.
Early Musical Career
Lewis developed an interest in music during his high school years and played in several local bands. In the summer of 1997, he even took on the lead role of Thorin Oakenshield in a local production of "The Hobbit". He continued to pursue his passion for music while also exploring theater and performing in various theatrical productions.
American Idol Journey
At the age of twenty-three, Lewis used his student loan to audition for the third season of "American Idol" in Honolulu, Hawaii. His performance of Van Morrison's "Crazy Love" caught the attention of Simon Cowell, who praised his vocal abilities. In 2008, his second album, "Break the Silence," was released and received warm reviews from critics, being hailed as one of the best works in the genre that year.
