Jonas Hassen Khemiri is a Swedish writer and novelist, born in 1978 in Stockholm, Sweden. He comes from a mixed background, with a Tunisian father and Swedish mother. Khemiri studied global economics and literature and had an internship at the United Nations.

Khemiri made a significant impact on the Swedish literary community with his debut novel "Ett öga rött" (2003), which received the prestigious "Buros Award" for the best literary debut. He continued his success with his second novel, "Montecore: En unik tiger," which also gained widespread acclaim.
