Early Life and Career
Jonas Lössl is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Huddersfield Town, on loan from Mainz 05. Born in Grindsted, Denmark, Lössl began his career with local club Kolding before joining Midtjylland. He made his debut for Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga in 2010 and went on to become the team's first-choice goalkeeper.
Club Career
MidtjyllandLössl spent four seasons with Midtjylland, helping the club win two Danish Cup titles. He made his debut for the club in a 3-1 win over OB in March 2010.
EA Guingamp
In 2014, Lössl moved to Ligue 1 club EA Guingamp. He made his debut for the club in a 2-0 loss to Monaco in September 2014.
Mainz 05
Lössl joined Mainz 05 in the summer of 2016. He made his debut for the club in a 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund in August 2016. Lössl became the club's first-choice goalkeeper following Loris Karius's departure to Liverpool.
Huddersfield Town (Loan)
Lössl joined Huddersfield Town on loan in August 2017. He made his Premier League debut for the club in a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.
International Career
Lössl has represented Denmark at various youth levels. He made his senior debut for the national team in a friendly match against Scotland in 2016. Lössl was part of Denmark's squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup but did not make an appearance in the tournament.
