Biography of Jordyn Jackson
Early Beginnings and CareerJordyn Jackson is an American singer who began her professional career at the age of fourteen in 1999, recording and performing cover versions of popular songs. She also sang national anthems at various local sporting events. Her creative spirit led her to release her debut studio album, "I Dreamt a Dream," featuring original songs co-written with Kurt Hawthorne. Sonny Lallerstedt, who had performed with Elton John and worked with him in the studio, added his unique guitar style to the album. In 2004, Jackson released her self-titled album, collaborating with Lee Miles. The collection of original songs was recorded in Orlando, Florida, allowing Jackson to expand her network with representatives of the Orlando music scene, including Will Becker, Tony Battaglia, and Lou Pearlman. Jackson worked with various artists who helped with the lyrics and melodies for her album, "Jordyn Jackson."
Success in Italy and Solo Career
During a visit to Italy in 2005, Jackson was introduced to a promoter and immediately got the opportunity to perform her songs at parties, clubs, and other venues throughout the Liguria administrative region in Italy. She gained further recognition, appearing in magazines, newspapers, as well as on radio and television. Inspired by her trip, Jackson returned to the United States a few months later and joined Randy Winter's band, "Veronica's Veil," in 2006. She began touring as the lead vocalist, performing her existing songs live and recording her first album with the band, titled "Middle of Nowhere." Her passion for songwriting soon became widely recognized, and she started co-writing songs in 2009, which were included in her second album, "Enduring Winter." However, shortly after the release of "Enduring Winter," Jackson left "Veronica's Veil" to pursue a solo career.
September in the Garden
Jackson's fifth album, "September in the Garden," marked a new focus on jazz vocals. The release showcased her incredible vocal abilities and was a result of collaboration with talented young musicians from Louisiana who handled the arrangements and production. Led by Bo St. Pierre and Jake Smith, responsible for the new instrumentation, tempo, and overall arrangement, Jackson redefined musical standards. The recording and engineering were carried out at the "Fudge" recording studio in New Orleans in collaboration with Jacques Delatour and Jack Miele. Chris Arsenault played drums, Jake Smith and Joseph Walker on guitars, Tomi Skip and Darren Fipps on bass, Mike Brussear on saxophone, and Jack Craft on cello. This album elevated her to a whole new level, attracting listeners and evoking emotions. In a world filled with artists releasing various versions of the same song, it is refreshing to hear someone who, with their extraordinary talent, has gone beyond the ordinary and created their own sound. "September in the Garden" is not aimed at a specific audience; it speaks to each individual.
Continued Success
Tracks from the album "September in the Garden" have already been heard on radio and television worldwide. Jeff Fuller expressed his praise for Jackson's new work, saying, "What a voice! Each song takes me to different events in my life, and all of them with a smile on my face." Throughout her career, Jackson has consistently raised the bar, continuing to grow and evolve. She remains dedicated to perfecting her craft.
