Biography of Joseph Szabo
Joseph Szabo is a teacher, photographer, and writer. For 27 years, he taught photography and art at a high school on Long Island, and since 1978, he has taught at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan.
The theme of adolescence and youth
Adolescence and youth are the central themes in Szabo's work. For over twenty-five years, he photographed his students. After releasing his first book, "Almost Grown," he felt the need to further explore and document the world of teenagers. This led to the creation of his book, "Teenage," which features photographs taken in the 1970s and 1980s.
