German footballer Joshua Kimmich is a defender for Bayern Munich and the Germany national team. His impressive career has seen him rise from humble beginnings to become one of the most promising young players in the world.
Early Career
Kimmich's footballing journey began at VfB Bösingen in his hometown of Bösingen. At the age of twelve, he joined the youth academy of VfB Stuttgart. After progressing through the ranks, he played in the youth Bundesliga during the 2012/2013 season.
Loan to RB Leipzig
In anticipation of the 2013/14 season, Kimmich was loaned to RB Leipzig, a team that had just earned promotion to the third division. He signed a two-year contract with an option for a further two years if Stuttgart did not exercise their buyback option.
