Biography of Joshua Loren Alba
Joshua Loren Alba is an American actor, best known for his role as Crichton in the television series 'Dark Angel'. He is the younger brother of the famous actress Jessica Alba.

Early Life and Family
Joshua was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Mark Alba and Catherine. His mother is of Danish descent from her father's side and of Franco-Canadian heritage from her mother's side, while his father has a Mexican background. Interestingly, both Mark and Catherine were born in California. They got married at a young age and Joshua and his sister Jessica grew up surrounded by military pilots. As Mark Alba advanced in his career in the Air Force, the family regularly moved from place to place. They lived in Biloxi and later in Del Rio, Texas, before finally settling down in California.
Early Career
Prior to pursuing acting, Joshua worked as a model for two and a half years under the guidance of 'Next Modeling Agency'. During this time, he appeared in campaigns for 'Sketchers', 'Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Shows', and featured in 'Teen Magazine'. He also worked as a real estate agent for a period of time.
Acting Career
Joshua started his acting career at the age of 18 when he was cast as Crichton in the final episode of the first season of the sci-fi series 'Dark Angel', in which his older sister played the lead role. After completing the filming, he realized that he had found his true calling and decided to enroll in acting classes. He went on to have two more television roles, one as the lead in an episode of 'The Division' and a cameo in 'Monk'.
Joshua's breakthrough in the film industry came in 2006 with the movie 'Alpha Dog'. Since then, he has appeared in films such as 'The Dead Undead', 'I Am Somebody: No Chance In Hell', 'Now Here', 'Hyenas', 'Kill Speed', and 'Creative Differences'. He also lent his voice to the character Zack Maio in the popular racing game 'Need for Speed: Undercover'.
