Born into a Humble Background
Naveen Kumar Gowda, better known as Yash, was born on January 8, 1986, in the small town of Bhuvanahalli, India. His father was a bus driver, while his mother was a homemaker. Yash moved to Mysore for his schooling, where he attended the Mahajana Education Center. Despite financial constraints, he pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Journalism at a local college in Bangalore.
Early Artistic Endeavors
Yash's passion for acting led him to join a drama troupe while in college. He began his career in the Kannada theater scene and later transitioned to small-screen roles. His first on-screen appearance was in a television serial in 2004.
Breakthrough in Films
Yash made his feature film debut in 2007 with "Moggina Manasu." While his initial films received mixed reviews, he achieved commercial success with the romantic comedy "Kirataka" in 2011.
"K.G.F: Chapter 1" and International Acclaim
In 2015, Yash was cast in the lead role of Rocky in Prashanth Neel's period action thriller "K.G.F: Chapter 1." The film, set in the backdrop of the 1970s gold rush, became a massive box-office hit in India and earned Yash international recognition. His performance won him the Filmfare Award South for Best Actor.

Personal Life
Yash met actress Radhika Pandit on the sets of "Mogina Manasu" in 2007. They married in 2016 and have two children together, a daughter named Ayra and a son named Yatharv.
