Jovan Aćimović: A Legendary Yugoslav Midfielder

Jovan Aćimović, a former Yugoslav football player, was renowned for his exceptional skills as a midfielder.

International Career

Aćimović's international debut came on June 8, 1968, in the final match of the 1968 European Championship against Italy, which ended in a 1-1 draw. He went on to represent Yugoslavia in two more European Championships (1968 and 1976) and the 1974 World Cup. His final match for the national team was against the Netherlands in the third-place match of the 1976 European Championship, which Yugoslavia lost in extra time with a score of 2-3. Aćimović made a total of 55 official appearances for Yugoslavia, scoring 3 goals.

Youth and Club Career
