Early Life and EducationJoy Sunday was born on April 17, 1995, in Staten Island, New York, to Nigerian parents. Growing up with her brother Victor, she attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan, renowned for nurturing young artists. Sunday later graduated from the School of Cinematic Arts with a degree in Film Criticism.
Acting Career
Sunday's cinematic journey began with roles in short films, including "Joy," which explored the experiences of Black women during Donald Trump's presidency. At 23, she made her television debut in "MacGyver" and appeared in "Dear White People." Her feature film debut came in the R-rated comedy-drama "Afterparty," where she portrayed Sofia.
"Wednesday" and Beyond
Sunday's breakthrough role emerged in the hit series "Wednesday," where she embodied the character of Bianca Barclay, an ex-girlfriend of Xavier Thorpe (Percy Hynes White). Her portrayal garnered praise from audiences and critics alike.
