Valderrama met George Abbott, a renowned Broadway producer, director, and playwright, in Philadelphia while he was working on the musical "Fiorello." Despite the significant age difference (Abbott was 72 at the time), they connected and formed a deep bond. Valderrama found Abbott to be unexpectedly gentle and charming, while he was drawn to her exotic appearance.

Courtship and Marriage

For 24 years, Valderrama and Abbott had a steady courtship. They married in 1983, and immediately upon marriage, Valderrama became a great-grandmother when one of Abbott's granddaughters had a child.
