Biography of Julia Glushko

Julia Glushko is an Israeli professional tennis player of Soviet origin. She was born in Donetsk Oblast and started playing tennis at the age of 4. Julia is one of the three children of Sergey and Olga Glushko. Her younger brother, Alexander, is three years younger than her, while her sister, Elena, is ten years younger.

Both of Julia's parents are tennis coaches, with Sergey being involved in the sport even before the birth of their eldest daughter. In 1999, the Glushko family immigrated to Israel, where they have been living ever since.

Julia has achieved success in her tennis career, being a winner of 13 ITF tournaments, including 6 in singles. She also reached the 10th position in the junior world rankings. Her favorite playing surface is hardcourt.

Aside from her tennis accomplishments, Julia is multilingual and speaks Hebrew, English, and Ukrainian.
