Early Career and Flamengo Debut

In 1917, Alcides Kunts embarked on his football journey with Floriano. After spending a year there, he moved to Grêmio in 1918 and remained with the team for two seasons. In 1920, Kunts joined Flamengo, making his debut in a goalless draw against Bangu on April 4.

Triumphant Years at Flamengo

Kunts' arrival at Flamengo marked a period of great success for the club. In his first season, he claimed the Rio de Janeiro State Championship, the Torneio Insígnia, and the Mackenzie Cup. The following year, he triumphed again in the State Championship and the Copa Ipiranga. Kunts added to his trophy collection by winning the Torneio Insígnia and the Copa América Fábril in 1922.

International Success

Kunts' exceptional performances earned him a spot in the Brazilian national team from 1920 to 1922. He represented his country in three South American Championships, totaling nine appearances. In 1922, Kunts achieved his greatest international triumph, lifting the South American Championship trophy with Brazil, playing in all three games of the tournament.

Later Career

In 1923, Kunts left Flamengo and joined Paulista. He played with the team until 1925 before taking a break from professional football. Kunts eventually returned to Flamengo for a brief stint in 1929, but the club suffered two heavy defeats in the matches he played.
