Early Life and Education
Madonna Karmanjeet was born on September 18, 2000, in a Punjabi Hindu family in New Delhi, India. Her father is a businessman, while her mother is a homemaker. She has an elder brother. Madonna began performing at the age of three, participating and winning various talent hunts and competitions. While still in school, she started dancing at religious ceremonies and events. She also pursued training in classical Hindustani music, vocals, and tabla. She is a graduate of the University of Delhi.
Dance Training
Madonna's dance training began under the guidance of her mother. At the age of five, she became a disciple of legendary Kathak maestro, Pandit Birju Maharaj. She is a trained Kathak dancer and a "Visharad" (Post-Graduate) in Hindustani classical music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
Acting and Theater
Madonna is a skilled theater artist, having studied at the National Dramatic School, the Sunday Club, and the Children's Theatre Workshop at Shri Ram Center. She has performed at prominent festivals such as Bharat Rang Mahotsav, JashneBachpan, and Jashn-e-Rekhta.
Television and Film
As a child, Madonna worked as a junior artist in several Bollywood films. She has also appeared in various music videos and albums. She won the reality show "Just The Best" in 2008. In 2010, she participated in Color TV's "Chak Dhoom Dhoom."
Music and Zee Music Company
Madonna's musical talent is not limited to dance. She is a skilled singer and has performed classical Hindustani music. In 2019, she appeared in the music video "Yeh Tune Kya Kiya" under Zee Music Company.
Bollywood Debut
Currently, Madonna plays a lead role in the Bollywood musical "Zangoora - The Gypsy Prince" at the Kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon. This marks her debut in the Hindi film industry.
Awards and Recognition
In 2011, Madonna won the title of "Little Star of Punjab Kesari." She also participated in the reality show "Mele Ka Big Star" in 2012, reaching the semi-finals.
