Biography of Karina Goricheva
Early Life and EducationKarina Goricheva is a Kazakh weightlifter who competes in the women's 63kg weight category. She began her career in weightlifting at the age of fifteen and graduated from the Republican Boarding School for Gifted Children in Sport. Goricheva is currently a student at the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University in Almaty, studying to become a pedagogical psychologist.

Achievements
Goricheva has achieved remarkable success in weightlifting throughout her career. She won a silver medal at the 2011 Junior World Championships and a bronze medal at the 2012 Junior Asian Championships. In 2013, she won a silver medal at the Summer Universiade in Kazan.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Goricheva earned a bronze medal, solidifying her position as one of the top weightlifters in the world. She showcased her strength and skill by achieving a total of 242kg (107+135) at the 2013 World Championships, where she finished fourth. In the 2014 World Championships, Goricheva won a gold medal in the snatch with a lift of 113kg, but a lift of 133kg in the clean and jerk placed her sixth overall. Similarly, at the 2015 World Championships, she finished third in the snatch with a lift of 112kg, but placed fifth overall with a lift of 132kg in the clean and jerk.

Karina Goricheva is a Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the international class.
