Early Career and Junior Championships

Karl-August Tiirmaa is an Estonian Nordic combined skier who first gained prominence at the junior level. He competed in three Junior World Championships, with an 11th-place finish in the team event being his best result.

Debut at Senior World Championships

In 2009, Tiirmaa made his debut at the senior World Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic. Despite strong performances in jumping, he finished in the 30s-50s range in both individual and team events.

World Cup Debut and Olympic Appearance

Tiirmaa entered the World Cup circuit in 2010 and has been a regular participant ever since. He earned his first World Cup points in January 2014 in Chaikovsky, Russia, with 19th and 25th place finishes.
