Early Life and Family Lineage

Caroline Florijn is a Dutch rower born into a family with a rich rowing legacy. Her father, Ronald Florijn, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist (1988 and 1996), and her mother, Antje Rehaag, is a 1994 World Rowing Championship gold medalist. Her brother, Finn, also won an Olympic gold medal in rowing in 2024.

Rowing Career: A Winning Streak

Florijn's rowing career began in the Dutch women's quadruple sculls alongside Elizabeth Hogervorst, Inge Kleverink, and Veronique Meester. This crew earned a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. They also triumphed at the European Rowing Championships in 2019, 2020, and 2021 and claimed a silver medal at the 2019 World Rowing Championships.

In 2022, Florijn transitioned to single sculls. She dominated the Rowing World Cup overall standings and secured the gold medal at the European Rowing Championships in Munich.

Olympic Triumph in Paris
