American actress and singer Krysta Rodriguez emerged from the Pacific Northwest, born in Seattle, Washington, and raised in Spring Lake, Michigan. After graduating from Western Michigan Christian High School in 1998, she pursued her passion for the stage at the renowned Williamstown Theatre Festival. Her Broadway debut came in 1999 as a swing and understudy for Amy Lawrence and Becky Thatcher in "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer."

Rodriguez's Broadway career flourished in 2002 when she joined the cast of "Into the Woods" as an understudy for Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and Rapunzel.
