Early Life and Career

Katerina Gogou was born in Athens, Greece, amidst the turmoil of World War II. As a young woman, she embarked on an acting career, starring in over two dozen films. In 1977, her performance in "To vary... peponi" earned her the Thessaloniki Film Festival's Best Actress Award.

Literary Pursuits

Beyond the silver screen, Gogou was a renowned poet. Her collection "Three Clicks Left", published in 1978, garnered critical acclaim. American poet Jack Hirschman translated it into English, and it was published by Night Horn Books in 1983.

Legacy and End

Tragically, on October 3, 1993, Katerina Gogou took her own life at the age of 53. Her life and work have left an indelible mark on the Greek art scene, cementing her status as an iconoclastic anarchist-feminist, poet, and actress.
