Birth and Early Life
Catherine Lazemin was born in Jerusalem, Israel, on March 21, 1936. After the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, she pursued her musical education until 1959.
Musical Career Offer
In 1960, Ben Lazarinseb approached Lazemin after hearing her exceptional singing voice. However, she initially declined the offer of a career as she believed her voice was not suitable for radio and television.
Early Career Struggles
During her time in Jerusalem, Lazemin explored alternative career paths until she realized her passion for singing in 1965. She performed at concerts and in television advertisements.
Breakthrough
For eight months, Lazemin remained relatively unknown until she caught the attention of Ariel Shimonov. Her popularity began to soar, and she amassed a dedicated fan base.
Tragic End
On February 4, 2005, Lazemin's life was cut short in a plane crash while en route to Paris. Her plane crashed over Corsica, and her remains were laid to rest in a Jewish cemetery in Jerusalem.
