Biography of Katie Liu Leung
Katie Liu Leung is a Scottish actress, best known for her role as Cho Chang in the Harry Potter films, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". She was born on August 8, 1987 in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Her father, Peter Leung, is a businessman and lawyer who owns his own restaurant, department store, and hotel in Glasgow. Katie's mother, Kar Wai Leung, works as a neuropathologist. Currently, Katie lives with her father, two brothers, and sister in Battersea, South London.

Education and Early Career
Katie attended one of Scotland's most prestigious private schools, Hamilton College. She is currently pursuing higher education at the University of the Arts London. It was Katie's father who saw an advertisement for a casting call for the fantasy film "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" directed by Mike Newell. He suggested that she try out for the role of Harry's love interest. After waiting in line for a long time and a five-minute audition, Katie returned home and waited for the results. Over 4,000 girls auditioned for the role of Cho Chang, and Katie was unsure of her success. However, two weeks later, she received a call confirming that she had been cast in the role. According to Katie, she believed that her Scottish accent helped her achieve what she wanted.

Acting Career
After filming "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", Katie received an invitation to continue working on the next installment of the series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". She temporarily put her studies at the art college on hold for the filming of the movie. The on-screen kiss between Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Cho during the filming of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" in 2008 was awarded the "MTV Movie Award" for the "Best Kiss". In July 2007, representatives from "Gold and Records" (a branch of EMI in Hong Kong) offered Katie the lead role in the musical film "Love Coming Home". In 2008, Katie received an invitation to play Hsui Tai in an episode of the detective series "Poirot", based on the famous novels by Agatha Christie.

Personal Life and Other Interests
Katie has a great love for music and listens to almost all music styles, including R&B, pop, rock, and hip-hop. She also knows how to play the piano. At the age of 22, Katie already received recognition as the "Most Stylish Girl in Scotland" and the "Young Scot" award. Additionally, she has appeared on the covers of popular magazines such as "Teen Vogue" and "Evening Standard".
