Born on January 3, 1983, in Ashford, Ireland, to Paul, a systems administrator, and Mary, a fashion designer, Kathryn Elizabeth McGrath had two older brothers, Rory and Sean. She had a close relationship with her sister, which has endured throughout her life.
Education and Early Career
McGrath excelled academically. She attended St. Andrew's College before graduating with a degree in History from Trinity College Dublin. She initially aspired to a career in journalism and fashion, contributing to the magazine Image. Her ambitions extended to Vogue China, despite not speaking the language.
