Katie Wagner is an American television host and reporter who was born on May 11, 1964, in Los Angeles, California. She was named after actress and family friend, Katherine Hepburn. Her parents are actress Marion Marshall and actor Robert Wagner. Katie's parents divorced in 1971 when she was seven years old. From her mother's side, Katie has two older stepbrothers, Josh Donen and Peter Donen. From her father's side, she has a younger sister, Courtney Wagner.

At the age of 16, Katie moved in with her father and his new family. The following year, a tragedy struck her family. On November 29, 1981, her father's second wife, Natalie Wood, drowned. Katie struggled to cope with the loss and remains very close to Natalie Wood's daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner.

Katie graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1982 and enrolled at Santa Barbara City College. However, she only attended for one semester before being expelled. After leaving college, Katie began working as a model, which allowed her to live in Tokyo and London.

In 1987, Katie and her father were invited to participate in the television show "Born Famous," which sparked her interest in hosting television projects. Her first television job was as an interviewer on Don Mischer's "M & W" project for ABC. This led to her first major role on cable television network "Movietime" (now known as "E!"), where she worked for two and a half years.

After leaving "Movietime," Katie worked for HBO, Cinemax, V, and MTV. She was also one of the organizers of the international entertainment exhibition "Hollywood Report" with Richard Jobson on ITV in the United Kingdom for two years. Additionally, Katie was involved in the production of 22 episodes of "Live From The House Of Blues" on TBS. She was then offered the opportunity to create a television project about her stepmother's life called "Intimate Portrait: Natalie Wood."

In 1999, Katie Wagner began working on the TV Guide Channel, where she worked on projects such as "Music News," "TV Talk," "What's On," "Family Do's," and "Don'ts." After five and a half years, she left the channel in 2004 to focus on preparing for her own show. Later that year, Katie played the role of a news reporter in the episode "Styx Feet Under" of the series "Charmed" and received an invitation to appear on the talk show "Good Day Live."

On September 21, 2006, Katie gave birth to her first child, a son named John Riley Wagner-Lewis. She married her boyfriend and the father of her child, Leif Lewis, in July 2007.
