Early Life and Education
Kay Cosserat, formerly known as Kay McClaughm, was born in 1948. Her educational journey began at the London School of Jewellery and the Royal College of Art, where she graduated in 1972. Under the guidance of renowned designer Marianne Straub, Kay honed her skills, combining technical expertise with imaginative flair.

In 1972, Kay McClaughm and her future husband, Christopher Cosserat, a fellow Royal College of Art alumnus, launched their eponymous company. Kay's signature fabrics quickly gained recognition, showcasing her keen eye for detail and innovative designs.
