Record-breaking Speed on the Splits
Kazumi Kawahara is an extraordinary individual who has achieved a highly unusual record in the Guinness World Records. She managed to cover a distance of 10 meters while sitting on the splits in just 19.11 seconds. The splits, also known as the side split, is one of the most challenging forms of flexibility, and for many people, it remains an unattainable dream. However, Kazumi Kawahara not only effortlessly performs the splits but also moves quite swiftly while doing so.

Guinness World Record Holder
In recognition of her incredible skill, Kazumi Kawahara received a certificate from the Guinness World Records in 2011. Her record is described as the "Fastest time for a 10-meter side split." During the show, Kazumi had to compete against another contender for the record, and their times were measured by Guinness representatives. Despite the somewhat comical nature of the act (imagine running on the splits), Kazumi managed to maintain a graceful appearance. She elegantly spread her arms apart while comfortably seated on the splits, and when she started moving, she resembled a swan, or perhaps a duck.
A Swift and Graceful Walk
With her fluttering movements, akin to a swan or duck, Kazumi swiftly covered meter after meter of the studio's shiny and smooth floor. She never stopped flashing her dazzling smile, and overall, it seemed like she was genuinely enjoying her stroll on the splits. Ultimately, Kazumi Kawahara set the record time of 19.11 seconds. This record was established on May 5, 2011, at the Shiodome Nihon TV Studios in Tokyo, Japan.
