Early Life and Family

Kelly Hurley was born into the family of Bob and Tracy Hurley. Growing up, it was no surprise that she started fencing at a young age, as her father, Bob Hurley, was a highly successful fencer himself and predicted a similar future for his daughters. Kelly's sister, Courtney, is also a skilled fencer. Currently, Kelly's father serves not only as her parent but also as her coach, training both of his daughters.

Education and Career

In 2006, Kelly Hurley graduated from Warren High School in San Antonio and subsequently enrolled at the University of Notre Dame, where she is currently studying arts. Kelly is an exceptionally talented student and is confident that she will graduate with an honorary Bachelor's degree in 2011.

Accomplishments

Throughout her relatively short sporting career, Kelly Hurley has participated in numerous prestigious competitions. Some of her notable achievements include competing in the World Cup in Prague, Czech Republic, the World Championships in Turin and St. Petersburg, the Pan American Championships in Montreal, the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, and the Junior World Cup in Budapest and Austria. She has also excelled in the Grand Prix World Cup, the Junior World Championships in Italy, the U.S. National Championships, and several other tournaments.

Recently, Kelly Hurley participated in the Junior Women's Epee Championship, where she emerged victorious in a match against Romanian fencer Deac Simona. Experts have praised the bout as one of the best, and now predict a successful performance for Kelly at the Olympic Games in China.
