Kelly Rowan: Biography
Kelly Rowan is an American film and television actress, and former model. She is best known for her role in the TV series "The O.C." Kelly attended Northern Secondary School in Toronto. At the age of nineteen, she decided to leave the university where she was studying at the time, the University of Western Ontario, and graduated with a degree in English literature. She then started her acting career by appearing in the Canadian series "Mount Royal".
Kelly later continued her education and enrolled in the British American Drama Academy in London, where she studied acting. After returning to America, she performed in the Neighborhood Playhouse theater in New York. Kelly also attended playwriting courses at the University of California, Los Angeles and went on to write her own play. During her studies, she started working as a model to earn some money and appeared in commercials. She also had roles in films such as "The Gate" in 1987, "Three to Tango" in 1999, "One Eight Seven" in 1997, and Steven Spielberg's "Hook". In 1993, Kelly received an award for her work in the film "Adrift".
In 2002, she appeared in several episodes of the series "Boomtown" as Marian, the loyal wife of Mac Norris. In 2003, she was cast in the series "The O.C." as an alcoholic mother struggling with her addiction. Kelly received a "Prism Award" for her performance. In addition to the aforementioned works, Kelly Rowan has appeared in numerous other films, including "Dallas", "Sweating Bullets", "The Outer Limits", "Assassins", "Rag and Bone", "Loving Evangeline", "The Truth About Jane", "Proximity", "Scorn", "A Girl Thing", "The Limit", "Jet Boy", "GreenMail", and "Eight Days to Live".
Kelly Rowan has also appeared in several other TV shows and films, such as "Jack and Jill vs. the World" in 2008 as Kate, "Diverted" in 2007, the series "C.S.I.
