Kenny Chesney, whose full name is Kenneth Arnold Chesney, is an American country singer. He was born on March 26, 1968, in Knoxville. Chesney debuted in 1993 on an independent label and has recorded 13 albums.

Early Life and Education

Kenny Chesney was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended Gibbs High School and was involved in football. After completing high school, Chesney went on to study at East Tennessee State University.

Early Career

During his time at East Tennessee State University, Chesney performed at local venues and gained experience. He also performed at a small Mexican restaurant called Chucky's Trading Post. In 1989, he released his first album, with the proceeds going towards purchasing a new guitar. In 1992, Chesney signed a contract with BMI and Opryland Music Group.

Rise to Fame

In 1994, Chesney released his first full-length album, "In My Wildest Dreams." This was followed by his signing with BNA Records in 1995 and the release of the album "All I Need to Know." He continued his success with the release of "Me and You" in 1996 and "I Will Stand" in 1997. In 1998, Chesney released the single "Touchdown Tennessee." His album "Everywhere We Go" was released in 1999, featuring hit singles like "How Forever Feels" and "You Had Me From Hello."

Continued Success

In 2000, Chesney released a compilation album titled "Greatest Hits," which included four new tracks. He followed up with the release of "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" in 2002 and "When the Sun Goes Down" in 2004. In January 2005, Chesney released the album "Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair" and embarked on the Sun Tour in November of the same year. On September 11, 2007, his album "Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates" was released. Chesney collaborated with Rascal Flatts on the single "Take Me There," which became the first song from his album "Still Feels Good."
