Early Life and College Career

Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Moses Johnes attended Beach High School. His exceptional height of 6 feet 10 inches (2.08 meters) made him a standout player on the basketball court, leading him to sign with the University of California, Berkeley.

College Statistics and Honors

Playing for the California Golden Bears, Johnes averaged 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in his junior season. He then transferred to the University of San Francisco for his final collegiate season, where he stepped up his performance, averaging 16.5 points and earning West Coast Conference Player of the Year honors.

Professional Club Career

After graduating, Johnes spent four seasons in the top-tier Greek Basketball League playing for Panionios, Panathinaikos, and Marousi. He also briefly played for the Russian club Dynamo Moscow in the 2003-04 season. In 2005, he received an invitation to play for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Summer League but ultimately did not make the team.

International Career

Johnes also represented the senior Macedonian national basketball team, showcasing his skills on the international stage.

Untimely Death

Tragically, Moses Johnes passed away on August 18, 2005, at his home in Atlanta, Georgia. Eurobasket.com reported that he died of a heart attack at the age of 30.
