Early Life and Career
Kevullay Conte, a Sierra Leonean footballer, was born and raised in Freetown's Fourah Bay district. His journey to Europe began in November 1995, when he joined Italy's Atalanta after playing for Sweden's Cafe Opera (now Växjö United).
Serie A Debut and Swedish Sojourn
Conte made his Serie A debut with Atalanta in a 0-1 defeat against Fiorentina on April 20, 1996. He later returned to Sweden before signing for Serie B side Chievo in January 1998.
Venetian Adventure
After three seasons with Chievo, Conte joined Venezia in 2000. He spent two years with the club, experiencing both Serie B and Serie A, before leaving along with several other players amidst financial difficulties.
Palermo Success
In 2002, Conte found his most successful club, Palermo. Despite injuries, he made notable appearances and scored a goal against Slavia Prague in the UEFA Cup.
Subsequent Career
After a brief loan to Atalanta, Conte left Palermo in 2007 and signed for Albinoleffe. He stints with Grosseto, Nacional, and Freetown City followed, along with regular call-ups to the Sierra Leone national team.
