Early Career: Reigniting the Flame

Born in Thiès, Senegal, Babacar's footballing journey began at the ASC Rail Academy. After impressing locally, he embarked on a life-changing move to Italy in 2007, joining Pescara. His exceptional talent soon caught the attention of Fiorentina, who acquired him a year later.

Debut and Early Success

In December 2009, Babacar's dream came true as he joined the renowned Fiorentina first-team squad for training. His official debut arrived in the Coppa Italia last 16 match against Chievo. Not only did he make a memorable entrance, but he also scored the equalizer, making it 2-2. After a winning goal from Adrian Mutu, Babacar was substituted for his Primavera teammate, Federico Carraro.

Serie A Breakthrough: Youngest Goalscorer

The moment Babacar etched his name into history came in a Serie A match against Lazio. Entering the fray in the 58th minute, he assisted on a goal three minutes later. With the final whistle approaching, Babacar himself found the back of the net, becoming the youngest player ever to score in the Italian top flight.
