Biography of Kirill Turichenko

Kirill Turichenko was born on January 13, 1983, in Odessa, Ukraine. From a young age, he fell in love with music and began his musical journey in the Odessa show group "Zvezdny Chas", which participated in various festivals and competitions. He achieved recognition when he participated in the popular TV contest "Utrennyaya Zvezda" in 1994, as well as "Malenkie Zvezdochki" and "5 + 20". In 1995, he played the lead role in the musical "Volshebnaya Lampa Aladdina" as a member of "Zvezdny Chas".

Turichenko continued his musical pursuits and became the soloist of the vocal quartet "KA2YU", formed by artistic director Svetlana Vetryak. In 1999, the quartet won the first prize at the "Chernomorskie Igry" festival, which led to their participation in the "Tavriyskie Igry" festival. Kirill performed with "KA2YU" at various clubs in Odessa, attracting audiences specifically for their concerts.

After completing theater school, Kirill focused on his theatrical career. In May 2002, he played the lead role in the rock opera "Romeo and Juliet" at the Odessa Musical Comedy Theater. The rock opera is still part of the theater's repertoire with over 450 performances. In 2004, he became a Laureate of the International Operetta Artists Competition. He also received the "Person of the Year" award in the "Discovery of the Year" category, chosen by the residents of Odessa.

In August 2004, Kirill played the main role of Sir Simon in the premiere of the play "The Canterville Ghost" based on Oscar Wilde's famous work. In November 2009, he took on another leading role in the musical "Silikonovaya Dura.net" at the Odessa Musical Comedy Theater.

In 2005, Kirill's career took a significant turn when he was selected to be a part of the Moscow production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Cats" among thousands of applicants. That same year, he participated in several competitions, including "Narodny Artist," "Novaya Volna," and "5 Zvezd." He was offered the opportunity to join the group "Smash" as the second member after Sergey Lazarev's departure.

During the national selection tour for Eurovision 2006 in Ukraine, called "Ti - Zirka," Kirill decided to compete for the chance to represent his country in the international competition. He declined the offer to join "Smash" and, as a result, achieved second place in the Ukrainian selection tour. After the televised competition, Kirill embarked on a successful solo career, performing at music festivals in Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus.

In September 2009, Kirill began collaborating with the production center "IZ-music," led by Irina Zagranichnaya. In May 2010, he released the single "4 Seasons of Love" in collaboration with Ray Horton. The music video, directed by Pavel Khudyakov, gained recognition. Kirill's work with the new team led to the preparation of his solo album, which was recorded in major studios in Russia and Ukraine.

In November 2010, Kirill premiered his music video for "Prosti Menya" and presented his new concert show at the Crystal Hall in Kiev, featuring 12 songs from his album.
