Early Life and Education
Mykola Bonder is a Ukrainian politician. He was born on September 13, 1972, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.In 1981, he moved to Kyiv with his parents, Lyubov and Anatoliy Bonder. In 1989, he enrolled in the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute, specializing in Industrial and Civil Construction.
During his studies, he actively participated in scientific research, focusing on the approximation of curves. He also worked part-time and wrote educational programs in popular programming languages, laying the foundation for his future business endeavors.
In 2002-2004, he obtained a second degree in economics from the Kyiv National Economic University.He is proficient in English, Russian, and Ukrainian languages.
Political Career: Early Years
In 2002-2006, Bonder served as a deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council, representing the Ivanivka electoral district.He was the deputy chairman of the Committee on Budget and Finance. In 2004, he joined the Socialist Party of Ukraine (SPU) and became one of the leaders of the SPU's electoral campaign in the Kyiv region in 2006.
In April 2006, he was elected to the Kyiv Regional Council on the SPU's list, becoming the leader of the SPU faction and first deputy chairman of the Regional Council.During his tenure, he played a significant role in forming a coalition with the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (BYuT). He also initiated the adoption of the Regional Council's working regulations, which have been in use ever since.
Member of 'Batkivshchyna' Party
In January 2007, Bonder joined the 'Batkivshchyna' party.In June 2010, he became the head of the party's Kyiv regional organization and a member of its Political Council.
In 2012, he was elected to the 7th Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) from the 'Batkivshchyna' party, as the first deputy chairman of the Committee on Transport and Communications.
In 2014, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada on the 'Batkivshchyna' party's list, and was re-elected in 2019 as a member of the party's faction.He is currently a member of the Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
Recognition and Personal Life
Bonder has been recognized with the Order of Prince Vladimir III.He lives in the village of Hruzske, Makariv district, Kyiv region, with his wife and two daughters.
